I know I’ve messed up

I know I’ve made mistakes before

I know I’ve turned on you

But that is no more.

I am asking you to trust me

I’m asking for this freedom

I really want this chance

To show you who I’ve become.

I want to make you proud

I will make you smile

I will show you that

Everything you’ve done has been worthwhile.

Show me you love me

By letting me fly

I know I can do it

If you’ll only let me try.

I may fall a few times

But I will always stand

You can say “I told you so”

I will understand.

I may not always be right

But I learn from my mistakes

And I will grow strong

By the decisions I make.
