The days are nearly over
and the past is gone
but in our hearts forever
the memories live on

From playing dodge ball or trench
To witnessing in Peru
From Caribou Coffee talks
To messages about Shamoo!

From hearts and heartless
On a long plane ride
Or all the youth group messages
On how we are the bride

From cereal killer
To PNA and spoons
Stepping on peoples feet
To discussion on who’s our moons

Jim, you’ve taught us all so much
And we could never thank you enough
But we’re thanking God right now
Even though the transition’s tough

You are the person
That many strive to be
And you could never know
Just how much you’ve impacted me.

You’ve poured into us
With all your love and care
You’ve shown us integrity
And taught us God is just and fair

God’s used you in so many ways
And you couldn’t ever really know
All the times your hug has changed a life
By the love that you have shown…

I wrote this after our youth pastor moved over into a new position at church... it was hard for me at first... but God really used Billy to reach my heart and now it's not so hard...
