Plea for Reconciliation

I know that I've messed uo

but I never meant to hurt you

whenever I said "I love you"

it was always true.

Silence can break you

or so they say

but I never meant to hurt you

or for it to be this way.

I cried when I thought it was over

I had smiled when the thought was alive

holding onto the hope of you

was what helped me to survive.

Let's not put the blame on anyone

we both had our part

we both made mistakes

and were careless with our hearts.

But maybe we can redo

maybe we'll work through this

I think we can do it

maybe ignorance is bliss.
