“The Lord will provide”
That’s what Abraham said

In my mind I believe that ~
But my heart cannot
Connect with my head.

I know and believe –
Do the two go hand in hand?

Who I do to get on firm ground
and out of the sinking sand?

TRUST is harder than it seems
I try to believe it
But reality crashes my dreams

Again and again, I’m washed away
When the tide rolls n
At the end of each day.

What I’m standing on ain’t firm at all
Every time the wind blows
All I do is fall.

How do you build your house on the rock?
Learn to trust Christ
In His footsteps, WALK and TALK

I wanna be like Jesus – just like Him
Follow His lead
Even when life grows dim.

When I need comfort
I want a hand to hold
Who will be with me and heal my hurt.

I want to really know Him
Better than I do
I long to really change
To become someone new

To be rid of my past
The sin and the lies
I want to start afresh
Reach for the prize

“God will provide”
Is what Abraham said
Maybe I can say it too –
Once my heart connects with my head!
