God's rose amidst the thorns
8:37 p.m. - 2004-10-21
“Amidst the Thorns is a Flower” *Amidst the thorns is a flower A shadow comes from light Courage comes from fear And success has many struggles A leader was once a child A tree was once a seed A plan was once a thought A sunrise follows night A storm starts with a raindrop But a rainbow precedes a storm A light precedes the dark A night never lasts forever And a song must have an ending The chapter will conclude A king must reside A smile must fade A heart must break A mind must question A soul must endure Each storm has a rainbow Each garden has a flower Each night has a sunrise Every heart will receive healing Each mind will have answers Each soul that endures, never regrets it…* I know some of you don’t like non-rhyming poetry. But this is exactly what God gave me and I didn’t want to alter it. When complaining to God of my thorns (2 Cor. 12), He said, “Amidst the thorns is a flower. You are my rose!” That is why I picked this layout, I’m God’s rose…
