Is it holding hands and kissing?
Is it care for another?
Or is there something I’m missing?

What is love?
Is it showing that you care?
Is it wanting to be together,
Or is it simply being there?

What is love –
How about giving?
Is it about wanting,
Is it part of the life I’m living?

What is love,
Is it ‘you scratch my back I’ll scratch yours’?
Is it offertory,
Or is there something more?

What is love-
Is it chemistry between a guy and a lady
Is that love?
Is the definition so hazy?

What is love-
What is missing?
Do I got it right, or
Am I just guessing?

Love,
Is it sacrificial
Is it giving of one’s self
Or is it what I see on a commercial?

Is it something different
Something different from the world
Is it about something more
Than a boy and a girl?

Love is a commitment
Love is more than emotion
Love’s sacrificial
And goes deeper than the ocean.

Love is giving,
And not wanting something back
Love is not lying
Or refusing things you lack.

Love is hope, joy and forbearance
It is not loss
It is sacrificial
Love is what Jesus did on the cross.
